Peach & Chili Jam Glazed Chicken Thighs


Savor the perfect blend of sweet and spicy with these succulent chicken thighs glazed with Jissie Sussie Peach & Chili Jam. This easy, oven-baked dish promises juicy, flavorful chicken with a delightful caramelized finish that pairs wonderfully with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.


Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken thighs (approximately 1.2 kg)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (30 ml)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup Jissie Sussie Peach & Chili Jam (240 ml)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (15 ml)

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (15 ml)

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).

  2. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.

  3. Arrange in Baking Dish: Place the chicken thighs in a single layer in a baking dish.

  4. Make the Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the Jissie Sussie Peach & Chili Jam, minced garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture is well combined and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

  5. Glaze the Chicken: Brush the glaze generously over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated.

  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized and sticky. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 75°C (165°F).
