It's all about the curry...

At Jissie Sussie, we just love curry!


Making a good curry starts by cooking your curry spice separately before adding it to your dish. This also applies when using curry in your chilli chutneys and sauces etc. It just brings out so much more flavour!


The best way to prepare your curry is to fry it slowly in something fatty or buttery for about 10-15 minutes to make sure the flavour comes through.


We add some hot chilli peach jam for some sweetness and then you can also add some garlic or other spices as you wish. Our Peach and Chilli Chutney adds a great depth of flavor to this dish.


After you have prepared the curry paste, add it to your dish to continue cooking.

Curry is not something that you can hurry, it needs time to mature and infuse it's flavour into the food.


We used these tips to prepare the most delicious pork chops in curry sauce. The curry had a lovely deep flavour with a good bite and a little touch of sweetness from the jam...
